It's no secret that I'm a big fan of William Goldman's The Princess Bride. In 2010, I wrote my Honours thesis on it and started collecting different editions of the book. I had some trouble, however, with finding any useful listing of available editions. I have no idea how many there are, or what they look like.
To help remedy this problem for other Princess Bride fans and collectors, I thought I'd start keeping a list of the editions I have purchased. This is, and may always remain, a work-in-progress rather than a definitive list. Please note that when you click on any of the lists below, the posts will not show in full. To view a post in full (for pictures of the book without the dust jacket, the typeset, etc.) you will have to click the 'Read more>>' link at the bottom of the post (they are easy to miss; blogger doesn't make them very noticeable). I haven't yet posted enough different editions for interesting lists, but when I do, they will be divided into the following categories:
- Original 1973 text
- 25th anniversary text
- 30th anniversary text
- All editions (i.e. all of the above in one place)
